can the amount of info displayed for each system star system be reduced?
1) displaying the ships/value in system is a blatant tell to anyone trying to invade the system what they're going to face not countered by any ability for individuals in-system to prepare for invasion. Knowing if I'm in a system is good (1 occupant). Knowing if I'm in a system with someone else is good (2 occupants). Knowing if there's a multi-sided battle is good (2+ occupants). more than that is kinda like kissing and telling.
2) I don't need to know the max population of my opponent's worlds. Knowing their current population is fantastic as it tells me how much pain to bring to scour their filth from the faces of the stolen worlds they crawl upon *ahem*. I mean, it expands on the information about how good a colonization prospect a system is. Knowing it's max potential is superfluous and clutters the screen.
3) Knowing whether worlds that belong to my foes will heal my habitat seems a little wierd. I've not yet tried to heal habitat in an enemy world which declares that it is large enough to provide succor, but if it does allow me to repair hab I'm going to be a little worried about mutiny.
4) Declarations by each planet that they will or will not heal hab... one or the other is handy information, both clutters. Frankly, I can assume the citizens can't or won't heal me unless it informs me because it unclutters my display more.
I understand this is good information to have available in a beta, but for "real," it seems like too much. |

All good points.
Although knowing the pts in the system is maybe a good thing. I'm not sure yet. |

on the flip side; each system has a "stardate," unless I've missed something. I can't remember consistantly seeing these, and they'd be useful (especially in bug reporting). Can the system date be inserted as a line below the system name and above the system star? |

found the stardate (turns out I'm not actually as smart as I think I am... *ahem*)
could we, instead of seeing the current occupant's max pop, see our own possible max pop? Might help pick targets... |

just had a small discussion that reminded me to bump this... Particularly, I'd really like to know how worth my time it is to attack someone's colony without having to do a research project. _________________ kill the messenger. |

wasn't sure whether this should go here, or in bugs, but now when you look at someone else's colony you see:
how big it is (the max for them) and 'null'
like 1 planet in particular is saying:
2 (max 3)null
I'm guessing 'null' is where it's supposed to say the player's max? _________________ Live without honor, Die without Honor
