When did the game change to stop you shooting out of a scrambler field? As I can't find anything in the rules that states that this should be the case.
Is this a bug or simply a rules omission?

This wasn't a complaint as such, just that I was rather suprised to find that having hidden my own ships I couldn't then fire out of cover.
I'm perfectly happy for scramblers to work this way, as you say it adds an extra dimension to their use while preventing the single scout and hidden artillery tactic that worked so well before.
Still I'm nothing if not adaptable, and turning the thing around does make a scrambler launched at a group of visible enemy ships a relatively potent weapon.
This combat has given me quite a few lessons in combined ships tactics and how to profitably use a varity of drone types. Mainly it has to be said by you using them against me.
Incidently I think you've lost count of exactly how large a Ynar fleet has come to defence of our glorious home system Adorines. I now have 8 ships operating in system.
