Ynar just showed me a great minesweeping tactic Smile

However, I noticed that a mine activated and hit my ship (due to really clumsy moving, I must say...) at the same time an EMP drone went off and neutralized it. So both messages appear in the playback - the mine activating and hitting my ship (nano appears on the ship), then the EMP drone frying the mine which shouldn't be there after exploding. Minor bug.

Knocking out all those mines wasn't the intention, although it was a pleasing side effect.

I had actually hoped to catch that ship with two emp's and indeed if I'd been a little more careful I'd not have taken out my own beholder into the bargain.

I'm not actually quite 100% sure what the exact effect of me firing those two overlapping emps was. When I look at the playback it appears that one emp drone took out the other one. But the emp that was taken out still appears to have destroyed some drones, which is confusing.

Jugarthi did your ship get hit by two emps or just one?

Only one ship got hit by one EMP drone. The other ship shows as within the radius of the second EMP, but as you noted it did not go off, instead being disabled by the first EMP.

This is probably a bug that can cause other weird behavior.

I have noticed that as well when firing 2 overlapping EMP drones. One will always take the other out. Annoying.

It does make a certain sense though. The EMP set to a shorter range fries the EMP still in flight to a further point.

I think I should change it.

What is actually happening is that the detonate in a random order.

And kill each other.

It would be nicer if they didn't, but all detonated at once. Which means mines would detonate and them EMPs (say).
