The Spawn lots of Breeders very Quickly Exploit
=================================
Spawn a minimal sized "fast breeder" 1 comp, 3 engines, 2 spawning chambers.
Day two: the fast breeder is now also a "Pure Breeder" so you can reconfigure it and add all the remaining mass. You can also spawn a new "fast breeder" from your original breeder. So after that you get a full sized breeder ever day!
The RUN AWAY Exploit!
================
Need a pure breeder to get somewhere quickly? Reconfigure! Reduced biomass to 2, minimal computers, maximum engines - whoosh! Good for gating to. Reconfigure to normal config on the other size! Yay.
The Super-Scout Exploit
=================
Spawn a fast breeder with MT 10, ET 60, CT as high as you can afford.
Next day reconfigure adding all the extra mass to engines (and CT as necessary), keep pumping up the CT everyday for a ever increasing far seeing, super fast scout! |

Ooo. Exploits and bugs I'd say.
So I now have them on the list!! Hope to sort them out next week, so until then, enjoy. |

Wasn't Argyle's Anchor the fix for this ??
I thought once ET passed 6 x MT the speed of a titan started to drop off.
It doesn't seem to have changed. No matter what I do on spawning a titan I cannot get speed to go up once I get past 60 (leaving MT at 10).
Yes as you add greater CT you get better "scan" range and can theoretically run a larger number of engines per computer but this has always been the case. Only now you can just tech up CT 10 times fast from a pure breeder.
The cost of a scout still becomes prohibitive sooner or later (I'm not in a position to check at the moment as I have nothing with CT high enough) and also once you get the CT high enough to have 1 Computer and 14 Engines (size 15 from MT 10) you stop being able to make the titan faster and the the only advantage you gain is scan range.
If people want to have ludicrously high CT they can as long as the want to pay for it. Wasn't that the point of the new rules ?
Seems to me that nothing needs to be fixed here. It's the same as it always was .... or am I missing the point entirely ?? |

I too was under the impression that you could pretty much have what you wanted as long as you can pay for it...or is I talking from my exhaust port? |

The point being that you can spawn a pure breeder with just 6 units 1 Comp, 3 Engine, 2 Spawn for example. Then on the next turn alter the Pure Breeder (as they can reconfigure themselves) to have 15 units (the max at MT 10) thus gaining 9 units without having to pay for them using bio.
The reason for this is the fact that Jonathan has just used the halls reconfigure code for the pure breeders. Since halls had to use all their size points of MT it wasn't a problem allowing the free reconfigure. As Pure breeders can be created smaller than their MT allows it allows you to essentially churn out fighter breeding pure breeders using only 2 bio chambers. At blue tech this means you can produce a pure breeder everyday without any loss of biomass (providing you've got some to harvest).
It's less of an issue for MT 10, more so if you are producing say MT 20 or 30 pure breeders as you can blow them up from size 6 all the way to size 45 for MT 30 without using any extra bio.
It'd be even worse if you can turn a pure breeder into a fighter via reconfiguration, but I don't think it will let you. _________________ Constantly pushing back the boundaries of Human Stupidity. |

Lord Nova is spot on.
Its the equivalent of free bio-mass which is the bug. |
