I think it was one of those things were it turned out that they did, and I thought that actually that was OK. A game mechanic inventing itself.

ya, lol, it does... makes for a very interesting use of gravstars... slow yourself down to temporarily to refill your DL (basically same pro's and con's as going into planet gravwell, except no chance of hab repair and it dissapears after a while)
