From the forums I understand the Ripspace will be restarting soon, but I wanted to learn the game a bit first. I downloaded the client and played with the demo, then I used the "join game" option from the menu. I tried to send orders online in order to sign up and get my first turn report. It said "sent orders to server" at the top, and seemed to work, but I have yet to recieve any turn reports. It has been a couple days now, and I have tried a couple times. The e-mail account I am using is the same one I run Tartarus on, so it should be valid. Any idea what I am doing wrong? This sounds like a VERY cool game, and I am eager to join the fray lol.

, if that helps any. I am still having the same results, namely, the send orders option seems to work, but I do not get any reports back. Guess I'll probably have to wait until the restart and try again.

How are you trying to get your reports? The client you downloaded, or E-mail? From what I understand, E-mail doesn't work yet. (Of course, my information could be out-dated.)

Also, did you get your ID number yet?

Step by step, what I am doing is this:

1. Run to Ripspace start-up batch file from my desktop (not with-in a browser)
2. Hit the "join game" option from the menu, which opens a list of data fields for me to fill in
3. After I fill the data fields in and hit enter, I am told to "save orders and email them", which does not work. Instead, I use the "send go orders online" option from the file menu
4. A small pop-up box called "commos monitor" comes up and the information is sent, according to the message on screen.
5. Last step, I wait for the first turn report. And keep waiting lol.

As far as my ID number, I don't even know what that is, so I am going with no, haven't gotten it yet Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Update:

I just checked my email (AFTER posting the above already, of course lol), and lo and behold, there is an email with a Ripspace ID lol. Now to see if the turn reports are available as well
