As posted elsewhere:

The code is ported to MySql.
I've removed many of the hooks to warcry and inter-clan messaging.

I've implemented the new clan size based spawn limits.
I've killed off hall movement and the ability to upgrade halls.
I've implemented pure breeder self spawn with the new tech increments.
I've deleted Over Tech from the code base
I've tested some of the above.

I now have to :
1) Implement payment email download
2) Order email download
3) Test it some more
4) Extract all records from Oracle and insert into MySql
5) Run a turn and see what happens!
6) update all the rules.

I'm hoping to do alot of this on Monday next week. If it works then you will find your clans are MASSIVELY over teched, and you will have to breed some far far weeker units. Which is going to be extremely painful until we are settled at the new level.

Jonathan
ps Note the Monday next week, didn't happen on the wednesday.

Whilst the update was nice I think Steels was asking for a final overview of the new rules... and IMO I wouldn't mind seeing the whole writeup in one place.

I have a few questions about the new setup that I'm not sure I understand.

Like .... "Is there a CAP ?" Can I create 1 or 2 titan's with ALL my tech or are they limited in some way ? Obviously it may take ages for me to get to that point but is it possible within the rules ?

How is my max tech Tracked ? Is it based on the max tech of my highest breeder ?

What effect do breeders have on the Tech limit ? (I vaguely remember the discussion regarding this but I can't remember the answer.

There are a few others but I can't remember them at the moment....

Anyway the point is that it would be nice to see the new rules before play with the new rules commences...

Thanks Smile

I'm particularly interested to know if we are going to have to destruct titans to get under the tech limit should we be over when the new rules are bought into effect ....
If I do then I'm going to need to start planning Shocked

Yes.

Lots and lots of them as todays tech levels are massively into the penalised region. The average tech is going to be far less.

That's because whilst I am not there in body my spirit lives on, and just as it is at work I get the blame for everything. Laughing

I was hoping, and I may have time this thursday, but life is conspiring - another part of the house just went into meltdown - well OK, the fridge. But it all takes time, and us wage slaves have far too little of that...

Maybe, we can hope.
