OMG..where to post? So much choice.

I am a little miffed that my OT is not scoring any points against capped titans. All that damage for nothing but the experience.

This rather devalues the role of the OT, at least for me.

Perhaps when clans reach the cap the hit modifiers could be turned off so that full points are scored for all hits against other capped units?

Possibly ... but I think that you'd find that doing so would unbalance things towards the OT titans somewhat.
OT titans are far more likely to score hits on capped titans than say another capped titan. Making it so they'd earn the same experience would mean that it would be quite possible to get OT titans with several hundred experience (possibly more).
It might be nicer to have them score more experience for all those hits but making it the same as a capped titan would end up being somewhat unbalanced.

I think that you may misunderstand me.

I don't want more hits...I would just like to score the points that should go with the hits.

The problem you've got with your OT and experience is two fold Steels. First is the fact that that WT/ST chance of hitting is factored into the forumula for experience. So the more likely you are to score a hit from the power of your guns the less experience you get from that hit.

The second is the fact that it's the number of shots that strike the enemy that determines experience gained, not the amount of damage they cause.

Since your titan has WT of 150 that both means that your chance of hitting most capped titans is very good, and also means that your OT can't carry as many weapons so fewer shots and thus hits, which means that it's going to be tough for you to accumulate experience.

My OT is having no trouble getting experience from shooting capped titans, but then I've only got a WT of 104 rather than a WT of 150. That means that my chance of hitting isn't quite as good as yours, so more chance of experience per hit. Also I've got a lot more guns so I can land a great deal more hits (even if I actually do rather less damage over all).

Ok I'm only getting 2 or 3 points a turn but that's not bad. Even better the more experience I get the more likely I am to hit, and this increased chance of hitting doesn't effect how much I score from each hit, so in theory over time I ought to be able to rack up more and more Experience per salvo.

Probably ... and also probably expressed myself poorly as well....
If you are talking about points then it's a different issue to what I was thinking of ...
Oh well I'll wait until my brain wakes up next time Exclamation

The exception being, all fighters score points. Except OTs.

Damage is damage though. You're still pulverising enemy titans, which is the main thing.
