what happens when a ship dies? does an opponent gain darklight?

Am I the only one who thinks that darklight for movement is significantly weaker than spindizzies? (harder to gather/less effect for the trouble)

the discussion about darklight for drone points has been started on another thread, thought I'd suggest that a more appropriate place for it.

might as well throw out a random suggestion; how would people feel about darklight being useable as combat mass for various purposes? Would this make it more valuable, be game breaking, or wierd?

Generally I spend time before a battle in a neutral system maxxing out a ships DL. Then in actual battle, I use spindizzies first, and only use DL for movement if I need to go fast before they are recharged. DL is weaker for movement, but doubling my move for 1 turn is still nice in an emergency with spindizzies down.
