OK, this is a wider issue, touched on by others. The reasoning is something like:
a) It's easy to get rich
b) It's slow to repair ships, but fast to buy new ones
c) None of us have high DL
d) DL is no longer as great a differential as it was when drone racks worked differently
e) Why do I want to keep my ships alive if damaged?
As opposed to my original design which was that epic ships would become part of the game, and that DL was vital to winning.
So I have to fix the income part, reinstate DL, AND ONLY THEN, look at ship survivability. i.e. it may be a good thing that its almost impossible.
