Will a mine attack your own ships? If so is there a way to destruct your own mines so you dont trap yourself? As i read it, you would have to fire an attack drone but must have a target on the other side so it passes by, but this gives your position away and isnt a likely situation.

No, they will not target your own fleet. Sorry that wasn't clear.

I'll update the rules.

So I've seen a beholder destroyed in route by a mine. I'm going to see if you can destroy one thats arleady been deployed. Mines are becoming quite useful and Fuzzbot and I are deffinately putting them to the test.

So far, I've guarded against Attack Drones, seen beholders blown out of space, destroyed other mines , and pocketed the gravity wells. Although if you can destroy any beholder coming at you, its going to be difficult to catch someone one on one.

I suppose that firing off a bunch of beholders, mines, gravstars, or scramblers into a suspected minefield. All weak ones and spread out of course. They would trigger the mines and make them weaker. It would probably take a few salvoes of drones if the minefield was strong or the enemy had time to build it up though... but that wouldn't be much of a problem if you used your fleet. And then, any drones that got through could be recorded to let you know the positions of remaining mines.

Of course, that is all in theory....

Hey, this gives me an idea. Off to the suggestions forum.

Ok, so the mine is forever on route. It said move truncated due to beholder. New coordinates set. But then it still says on route, not deployed and forever sits one hex away.

Lol, I just remembered that in the demo the AI was having the same problem with planets and beholders. Except for the fact that it continuously kept firing a new beholder at that space.... lol.

Scrambler drones also apparently forever exist, even after their gone and you cant see them anymore. I had fired a scrambler at a location and fired another one later at the same location. The second one is forever truncated becuase the first one is blocking its move, even long after its gone.
