using a different computer to submit today's orders, but I find I have only a fragment of my map because of it.
I tried the request map button on the site, but after putting in my info, I send it and get a 404 Not Found.
am I missing something? |

No you are not missing anything. This is how I think it works (and am ready to be corrected by people who actually know).
Each turn only sends out a limited part of the map, the part you can actually see plus a little bit surrounding that. All historical map stuff is stored locally in your tartarus directory. I am sure you could copy the map file between PC's but I haven't bothered to try.
The request map function is not fully (at all?) implemented.
I get caught in this trap now and then, you just have to work with what you have. If it is only for a turn or two then I find that it is not much of a problem |

You are quite correct.
And yes, you can copy mapfiles, I have to do it every Friday from work to home and then on Sunday from home to work. |

If your very nice to an elder ... one of them might give you a copy of their map ... I seem to remember getting mine from a member of The Cube (a long dead alliance)

The server has copies of everyones map - and the request map used to work fine. But about 18months ago (ish) I upgraded something and it broke....and no one ever shouted at me to fix it, so it remains broke (n).
Sorry about that.

I don't think it would have given me my old map though since I had to restart. (But you know more.) _________________ Arch-Mage of the EM and the Magefolk
